What exactly is a Printed Cake? (Yes, you can eat it!)

I get this question a lot: How does it work? It’s simpler (and more delicious) than you think.

An edible image cake uses a specialized printer loaded with edible ink (made from food coloring) and high-quality sugar sheets (also known as frosting sheets).

  • The Base: I prepare your cake from scratch with my signature buttercream or fondant.
  • The Print: Your image is printed onto a thin, flexible sheet of sugar.
  • The Magic: I carefully apply the sheet to the cake, where it “bonds” with the frosting.
The result? A completely safe, 100% edible masterpiece. It has a neutral, slightly sweet taste that blends perfectly with my flavors, so you get the visual “wow” factor without sacrificing the quality of the bite.

These are a total hit for kids’ birthdaysgraduation cakes, or even milestone birthdays where a throwback photo makes everyone smile.

Many worry about getting their printed cakes home safely, but you can take yours without a single worry. These designs are very stable and easy to handle; the image doesn’t smudge or get damaged, so you can drive home feeling totally relaxed.

You can choose a scheduled pickup at my Aubrey studio or personal delivery. I serve Aubrey and surroundings (15-mile radius aprox), including Denton, Prosper, Celina, Frisco, Little Elm, The Colony, West Plano (75093), McKinney West (75071), Cross Roads, Oak Point, and Pilot Point.
